The Reality

Your business has outgrown its systems.

Tools pile up. Processes blur. Leadership stops directing and starts compensating. There are workarounds nobody admits to, vendors nobody holds accountable, and technology the team quietly works around every single day.

Nobody planned for it — it just happened as you grew.

"
It's almost never
the software.
It's the alignment.
— Nicole Grimm, Founder
The problem is almost
never what it looks like.
The Answer

The answer isn't another tool.

When people, process, and technology finally move together — leaders get their business back. That's what we build. That's what lasts.

The Shift We Engineer

What it looks like
on the other side.

We don't sell software. We don't run IT. We sit on your side of the table and architect the systems that let your leadership team lead — instead of firefight.

Where Most Clients Start
Disconnected tools, duplicated data, manual workarounds
Leadership in daily fires — directing the business by exception, not design
Vendors selling — not advising — and nobody holding them accountable
Technology decisions driven by whoever sells hardest
Teams working around systems instead of through them
Where MIS-Fit Clients End Up
Integrated systems — people, process, and technology aligned
Leadership freed to set direction — not manage chaos
Vendor accountability — we hold them to a higher standard
Confident, evidence-based system decisions
Self-sufficient teams running systems they own and understand
Ready to stop firefighting and start leading?

The Framework in Action

People. Process.
Technology.

Every engagement is anchored in the same truth: technology alone doesn't fix operational complexity. All three must move together — or nothing sticks.

We've been working with MIS-Fit since 2018. As a growing company we needed someone who could meet current needs and bring us to the next level. We appreciate their ability to hear our problems and work toward real solutions — year after year.

MIS-Fit has been an excellent advisor on our project. They tell us when we should turn left instead of right and advise when we're missing something. They understand all the nuances and have been a great asset throughout.

When we first approached MIS-Fit for an IS Strategy Roadmap, we weren't sure where to start. The roadmap was a revelation — clear, actionable steps tailored to our unique needs. We transitioned to the ideal system for financial management, a game-changer in how we handle accounts. MIS-Fit made what seemed insurmountable feel manageable and exciting. We're now more confident than ever in our tech strategy.

The Founder

Nicole Grimm

"I remember sitting in the parking lot of a family-owned winery, thinking: what if smaller businesses had access to the kind of enterprise-level systems thinking they actually deserve?"

Nicole started MIS-Fit after two decades at the executive table — leading complex implementations, translating between technology and leadership, and watching business after business outgrow their systems faster than they could manage.

She holds a degree in Management Information Systems and advisory practice informed by ISO-aligned FitSM frameworks. Her role in every engagement: system architect, strategic guide, and trusted translator. Not task executor. Not vendor.

"We don't sell software. We sit on your side of the table."

The Team

Stronger Together.

Most consultants bring either technical depth or strategic vision — rarely both. Nicole and Ben together cover the full stack: strategy, systems, infrastructure, and people.

Shared Strength
Both Nicole and Ben believe the human layer is where implementations are won or lost. Their expertise overlaps deliberately — each can extend into the other's domain when the engagement requires it.

Strategy, systems, infrastructure, and people. That's the full stack MIS-Fit brings to every engagement.
Is This You?

We work with a
specific kind of leader.

The Client We're Built For
$5M–$100M revenue · Operationally complex · Often family-owned or second-generation
CEO, COO, EVP, or next-gen leader who cares deeply about doing things right and protecting what's been built
Agriculture, manufacturing, food, logistics · Compliance-heavy · Lean IT team
Knows the business could run better — just not sure where to start or who to trust
Ready to invest in clarity — not just another tool
Not a Fit
Startups without operational history. Businesses looking for IT helpdesk or tool training. Leaders unwilling to change. Projects where speed outweighs getting it right. We respect your time and ours — clarity upfront saves everyone.
Business Before Tools
We start with the business, not the software. If the system doesn't fit the work, it isn't smart.
Clarity Before Automation
Automation without clarity creates faster chaos. We don't speed up confusion — we eliminate it.
People, Process, Technology Together
Smart systems support humans — not the other way around. All three must move together or nothing sticks.
Self-Sufficiency Over Dependency
We build systems clients can own and evolve. If they can't run it without us, we didn't do our job.
Legacy Matters — So Does the Future
We preserve what works and modernize what doesn't. Smart systems strengthen without erasing history.
Ready to Begin

Great businesses deserve
systems that keep up.

The first conversation costs nothing. The Diagnostic tells you everything. Let's find out if we're the right fit for each other.
